Proverbs 4:20-22

"My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh."

Giving attention to wise words is the key to life and health. Many people are struggling in life because they have no wisdom. They are sick and struggling physically because they have no wisdom.

Once you hear wisdom, give attention, or make it the most important thing at that time. Focus and treat it as valuable. Listen closely and incline your ear. Make it a point that you will take it so seriously that you will lift your ears—your physical ears and spiritual ears—to the point where nothing or no one can get you unfocused from the wisdom that is being spoken.

Don't let that Word leave your eyes. Continue to read it, meditate on it, and focus on it until it gets into your heart. Why? Because once it gets into your heart, then your life will change. You have to be responsible by keeping it in the midst of your heart. Don't allow lies, the culture, society, religion, or ignorant people to talk you out of the wisdom God gives you concerning your life and health.

Eating to live and not living to eat is wisdom. But because people live to eat, they will fight that statement. Food—what God called food from the beginning in Genesis 1:29—is what He gave humans and animals to eat. That food provides every nutrient your body needs to function properly.

God wants you to live life, not live religion. The God-kind of life is supposed to be enjoyable, filled with a prosperous and healthy life. Of course, in life there will be some suffering and persecution, but when you live by faith and live according to the Kingdom of Jesus, you will overcome the world: its trials, tribulations, and tests as stated in John 16:33.

So when wisdom is talking, keep quiet and listen with the intent to understand so you can put it into practice. People sometimes think their smarts are better than God's wisdom. But 1 Corinthians 1:25 teaches us that God's wisdom is foolishness to man's wisdom. You can't rely on man's wisdom; you have to trust God's wisdom. It is counter to the culture and is not talked about much in society. Society and religious churches love talking about man's wisdom. They speak death and expect life, and they get mad at preachers who tell them to speak life!

If you want the life Jesus promised, then accept, believe, receive, and put wisdom into practice. If you lack wisdom, simply ask God for it—not an old person just because they're old, but ask GOD as James 1:5 instructs! When you receive that wisdom and practice it, it will change your life.

I call this wisdom S.I.—Supernatural Intelligence.
