Are your traditions causing you to reject Knowledge?

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge…
In context, God was speaking directly to the priests. They were responsible for teaching truth of His will from the Law, yet they rejected the knowledge He gave them. But inside that rebuke is a powerful principle that still applies today.
Destruction doesn’t always come from the devil attacking. Sometimes it comes from missing or rejecting the right knowledge. People lose in life not simply because they don’t know… but because they reject what they’re shown.
God will send insight. He will send instructions. He will send revelation through His Word, through wise counsel, through anointed spiritual teachers. And often, the very knowledge that could elevate you is the knowledge that challenges your comfort and you decide to reject it.
Why do we reject it?
Because it’s unfamiliar.
Because it disrupts tradition.
Because it stretches our thinking.
Because it requires change.
What’s uncommon feels unsafe. What’s different feels wrong. So instead of embracing revelation, we dismiss it. But Hosea teaches us something sobering: rejected knowledge leads to unnecessary loss.
Be careful not to push away wisdom simply because it doesn’t look like what you’re used to. Revelation from God won’t always match tradition, but it will always produce life. The knowledge that feels uncomfortable may be the very key to your next level.
