Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
Galatians 3:14 Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.
God's perfect will is not for you to need a daily miracle but for you to move into a place of more than enough. To be "rich" simply means to be abundantly supplied for. Rich, wealth, or success is NOT what America says it is, it is what Almighty God says it is. The world will have you under a "spirit of mammon" instead of the Spirit of God. (I'll talk about that in another broadcast).
God didn't want the Children of Israel to live in the wilderness. It was just a pit stop. Their destination was the Land of Caanan. A place where things flowed. A place where they were abundantly supplied for. Yes, God took care of them in the wilderness but it was not their destination.
Exodus 3:17 And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites--a land flowing with milk and honey.
Deut 8:7 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; 8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; 9 a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills. 10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.
Joshua 5:12 And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
The manna wouldn't have ceased if it was God's will for them to live like that for the rest of their lives!
God will take care of you where you are but there is more! If you have to have a miracle EVERY day or EVERY week or EVERY month then you are in the wilderness. God's Kingdom is designed to prosper the Believer not to keep them poor.
Read what the apostle Paul says concerning God's sowing and reaping system:
2 Corinthians 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
God's system is not designed to bring you under or to make you poor. No, you see that the NEW TESTAMENT BELIEVER who is a generous giver will be generously provided for. "God is able to bless you ABUNDANTLY"! This Believer ALWAYS has to give and always has plenty for his/her house.
New Testament Believers need to stop looking and acting like the Children of Israel in the wilderness and start walking and living in the wealthy place-where things are flowing and there is abundance!
Deut 28:11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
Deut 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
Don't let them fool you! You can't be a generous giver, help those in need, and take care of your own house if you don't have any money! OF COURSE, GOD WANTS HIS PEOPLE TO WORK AND HAVE MONEY!!!
Ephesians 4:28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.
Deut 28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
Ps 112:1 Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands. 2 Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.
Today as you go through your day, believe God wants you abundantly supplied for. Go out and get the money and do what's right with it. Be a generous giver to others and God's Kingdom. Your faith will get you to the destination! Until the next time, keep living by faith, Doc Murphy
